Description Volunteers Mentors support children/youth 4 to 18 yrs. They work with the child/youth to plan age-appropriate activities in the community on a regular basis. While mentoring activities are fun, they also work on goals established by the child/youth and family. They provide support that reinforces the child/youth’s culture and identity, is respectful and affirming and aligned with the mission, vision, and values of the agency. Volunteers should have good listening skills, strong sense of commitment and a willingness to work collaboratively and respectfully with the child/youth, staff, and family members. We are currently prioritizing volunteers who can drive children/youth as part of the role. We are committed to recruiting a diverse volunteer team that represents the community we so proudly serve.
