Description The primary responsibilities at the Visitor Services Desk are: Greet all visitors to the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery. Provide gallery orientation and answer questions about "what's on view." Answer general inquiries or take down visitors' contact information for the shift supervisor to follow up. Be knowledgeable about the Gallery's current exhibitions, upcoming programs, and collections. Be passionate about art, the Art Gallery, and our mission, and share your enthusiasm with visitors. Enjoy connecting with people of all ages and all backgrounds.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Successful candidates will receive detailed training tailored to their skillset during the first one to two shifts. There will be a debrief session at the beginning of each shift for both the volunteer and supervisor to share their feedback and learnings. Working Conditions: Indoor, accessible space, adjustable desk to accommodate different needs Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Support volunteers with special needs, Accessible work space, Support Newcomers Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 4 - 6 months Weekday - Daytime Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 12-2 pm. Volunteers usually commit to one shift a week, facilitating visitor services and learning more about the exhibitions on view. The volunteering experience can be adjusted to fit the volunteer's schedule and aspirations.
