Description
Volunteers for the Friendly Visiting Program will be expected to conduct in-person visits with 2SLGBTQIA+ Seniors, submit debriefs after each visit and communicate with the project coordinator.

-Lived experience as a 2SLGBTQIA+ individual
-Social communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to make others feel comfortable and safe
-A genuine interest in people, their stories and their interests
-Active listening skills, comfortable listening to others
-Emotional intelligence and validation
-Ability to uphold the policies communicated in orientation training
related to safety and confidentiality

Volunteers will need to provide an up-to-date vulnerable sector check (within one year). Spectrum will reimburse the cost.

Training Details: Volunteers for this program will attend an in-person orientation that will prepare them for their volunteer position.
Working Conditions: In-person meetings, indoors
Car will be needed for transportation
Transportation: Car required
