Assist vulnerable clients with grocery shopping to gain access to food.

Description
Commitment of only 1-2 hours per week. Shopper Escort volunteers drive and assist older adults or an adult with a disability who would otherwise have difficulty shopping alone. Volunteers escort the client they are matched with during daytime, weekday hours.
This volunteer role requires good decision-making and communication skills, flexibility, patience, reliable vehicle and valid MTO G driver's license. Volunteers must be age 21 or older and pass all screening requirements.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: A weekday, daytime volunteer orientation and an introduction to the senior you are matched with will be provided by Waterloo Home Support Services staff.

Approximately 2 hours per week on a weekday between 9am and 4pm
