Position: Driver's Assistant - ReStore Waterloo or Cambridge
Location: 120 Northfield Drive East, Waterloo
Impact Statement: Do you love driving around the Region, meeting a variety of people? Do you have excellent customer service skills as well as a strong back?
Description: You will work with our Driver, picking up household and commercial donations in Waterloo Region and unloading the truck at the Cambridge or Waterloo ReStore location. Both drop off and pick up locations involve interacting with ReStore customers and staff, so we are looking for people who thrive in this kind of atmosphere.
Requirements: English Proficiency, Confidentiality, Physical Demand, Work Without Supervision
Training Details: Your first step to becoming a Driver's Assistant is to attend a ReStore and Salvage Orientation (1.5 hours) at either of our ReStores. We then ask you to commit to volunteering 20 hours in our ReStores before becoming part of this crew. Visit our website to select a day and register ""
Working Conditions: You should be able to lift up to 50lbs/25kg. This position requires green-patch CSA approved footwear. We have a selection for you to borrow if you do not have your own.
Duration: 4 - 6 months
Timing: Weekday - Daytime, Anytime
Time Detail: The volunteer hours for this position are flexible. However, committing a full day (7 hours) is required as often as possible. This program runs Mondays between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
