Description: The Arthritis Society is seeking dedicated, caring and enthusiastic floaters to volunteer at Camp Cambria, a camp for children living with arthritis in support of the Camp Director and Program Staff to ensure a quality camp experience.

Volunteer floaters provide relief breaks for camp counsellors by assisting in the organization and supervision of campers during scheduled activities and throughout the day. You would act as a positive role model to staff and campers, participating actively, enthusiastically and in an inclusive way during all camp activities; Ensure a high standard of health and safety for all activities at camo; Promote and support the mission of the Arthritis Society. Comprehensive understanding of the implications of living with arthritis, gained by living with arthritis and/or working/volunteering with people living with arthritis and / or chronic pain.
Training Details: Volunteer Camp Floaters need to be available from August 18, 2019 to August 24, 2019 inclusive. Prior to the arrival of volunteers at Camp, two web-based orientation sessions will take place in July and August 2019. On-site training is set to take place August 18th - August 19th, prior to camper arrival on August 19th.
Working Conditions: Floaters need to be comfortable working in camp setting, inclusive of cabin lodgment and available 24 hours a day with scheduled breaks. An Arthritis Society Staff member will be your main point of contact with other volunteers and Arthritis Society staff. All accommodations, meals and transportation to and from camp are incurred by the Society.
