Position: Assistant - Summer Camps

With ever-changing exhibitions and programming, THEMUSEUM presents a stimulating opportunity for a volunteer placement.
Description: You are invited to work alongside Camp Leaders and other volunteers by providing our campers with a safe and enjoyable season of programming and activities.
• Supervising the campers during free-time and while in the exhibition space
• Interact with and play with the campers
• Help the campers with their crafts and activities
• Help campers get ready to eat lunch; get ready to be picked up
• Assist Camp Leaders and the Camp Coordinator with assigned tasks
• Attend all orientation and training sessions.
• Work as a team member with staff and volunteers.
Training Details: Training and Orientation is offered after application process tentatively on June 19, June 26, and July 3rd 4pm-7pm and attendance at one of the three sessions is mandatory.
Working Conditions: Must be able to spend hours on your feet. Public Facing Role. Must enjoy working with children.
Duration: 3 months or less
Timing: Weekday - Daytime
Time Detail: Our day camps run weekdays from July 1st - August 30th. Volunteer camp assistant shifts will be from 9am-5pm (half days also available in certain circumstances). We ask that volunteers commit to either a full week of camp Monday-Friday, or a consistent fixed schedule over the summer period.
