Position: Painter - Physical Resources

Description: We are looking for someone who has some painting experience that could help us keep things looking clean and welcoming.

Tasks would include:
- Preparing surfaces for painting (washing, patching, power washing)
- Protecting areas not to be painted
- Determining the correct type of paint according to the surface type and weather conditions
- Working independently to achieve a completed job in a timely manner
- Completely cleaning the work-site and storing materials and supplies appropriately.

The head of this department is fluent in both English and Spanish, so a newcomer that speaks Spanish would be very comfortable working here.
Training Details: Volunteer work will be supervised by the Physical Resources Manager.
Working Conditions: Painting will be done inside and outside (weather permitting) the building.
Volunteer must be physically capable of standing, sitting, bending, and lifting.
Ability to paint while standing on scaffolding or suspended would be an asset.
Duration: 4 - 6 months
Timing: Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime
Time Detail: This is a flexible position with ongoing opportunities. Time frame can be discussed with the Physical Resources Manager.
