Impact Statement Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario is the regional voice of people living with Parkinson's in Southwestern Ontario. Our purpose to ease the burden and find a cure through support services, education, advocacy and research.
Description Our annual walk has been a huge success in past years, but this year, we’ve had to adapt the event due to Covid-19, and we are now encouraging people to Walk the Block for Parkinson’s!

To transition this event, we’ve implemented the Community Champions program: people who would usually be helping out at the walk on the day of the event are now going to be our Champions in spreading the word around their communities and keeping walk participants informed!
Training Details Community champions will be given an orientation by the volunteer manager, and will be given ongoing direction from community champion leads.
