The Market is a series of youth-led, pay-what-you-choose produce stalls running each summer in Waterloo Region. In 2025, markets will operate weekly for seven weeks in Kitchener’s Eastwood and Victoria Hills neighbourhoods, plus a new location in Cambridge’s Blair area.

Description
The Youth Food Market is back, and we're looking for youth (14-19) to join as Market and Garden Leaders!

Market Leaders co-design and run the markets, gaining experience in food systems, business, and leadership while engaging with the community. We prioritize youth from these areas but welcome all to apply!

Garden Leaders grow produce in six gardens across the region, supplying 20% of market produce, with the rest from local farms. This role runs in July & August, with two training sessions beforehand.
