ReStore in Waterloo

Impact Statement Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region's vision is to have a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to call home. But we cannot do this alone. We work in partnership, mobilizing volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing and promoting homeownership as a means to break the cycle of poverty.

Description The ReStore sells new and gently used building supplies as well as unique home décor items. Volunteers provide customer service, prepare products for sale, help to receive and clean donated items, and assemble products and displays. Volunteers also help to maintain store cleanliness and organization. Please note, all new ReStore volunteers must complete the online ReStore Orientation before their first volunteer shift. We then ask ReStore volunteers to commit to a minimum of 40 hours within a 3-month time frame (approximately 4 half-day shifts per month).
