Description
Do you have a green thumb? Do you like getting outside to work in the dirt? We have several gardens around the building that require summer maintenance. Weeding, watering, planting - general upkeep to ensure they look well tended. Our residents love to look at the well maintained gardens!

Position Qualifications
Ideal for: An Individual, A Group, Student Placement
Age: 16+
COVID-19 Vaccination Required: Yes
Area(s) of Interest: Environment, Maintenance, Senior Services
Skill(s): Communicate in Plain Language, Accountability, Self-Motivation

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Orientation to Fairview, work areas, and safe work practices will be given.
Working Conditions: Outdoor, bending, reaching, digging, carrying.
Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 3 months or less
Anytime
Commitment to support garden maintenance as needed (likely 1-2 times a week).
volunteer may choose own hours.
