Impact Statement
Give support, hope and answers to survivors of acquired brain injury (ABI). Our vision is in meeting the needs of survivors and their caregivers and setting the standard for innovative program delivery, education and prevention of ABI.

Description
Lidz on Kidz delivers brain health and helmet safety presentations to elementary school students and other community organizations in the Waterloo-Wellington region, as well as free bicycle helmets to children in need.

Material for the presentations is adapted from Parachute Canada’s evidence-based Brain Waves program and includes discussions and activities about the parts and functions of the human brain, how and why to protect the brain, and how and why to wear a helmet. Throughout the presentation, our trained staff and volunteers provide opportunities for students to think critically, engage their five senses, and ask questions, all while having fun along the way. Our presentations have been designed for the following grades: JK-SK, 1-3, 4-6, and 7-8.
