   About the Position

Impact Statement
This is a hands on opportunity to contribute to relief and development work around the world through supporting the system of Relief Aid donations from when they enter the warehouse through to their shipment to places of need.

MCC is a charitable organization that partners with churches and community organizations worldwide to walk with people who are disadvantaged. MCC supports activities that provide emergency assistance, reduce poverty, and promote healthy communities, sustainable living and alternatives to violence. As an internationally recognized NGO, MCC currently serves in 45 countries.

Description
- Sew reusable pad system systems for Dignity Kits
- All materials, guidance, and support provided by MCC staff/volunteers to ensure volunteering experience is rewarding and enjoyable
- Some knowledge of sewing Or willing to learn the skills

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Position specific orientation will be provided.
Job specific training and skills development.
Job shadowing and training meetings offered as available.
Policy and procedure manual available at all times.
Volunteer liability coverage for all volunteers.
Working Conditions: Work is conducted in a clean safe warehouse like setting with staff and volunteers. Some standing and/or sitting may be necessary. Some sewing knowledge is an asset or a willingness to learn.
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Accessible work space
Transportation: Car required


Time Commitment

Duration: 4 - 6 months
Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening
- Wednesdays
- 3-6 hour commitment weekly or bi-weekly
